More than 1,600 people took part in 25 Jesuit Friends and Alumni Sunday Masses in October 2017. The turnout set a new record, drawing graduates who represented over 60 Jesuit institutions worldwide. The 60 attendees who gathered at St. Mary of Nazareth Church in Amman, Jordan, marked the first time the program has expanded to an international location.

Last fall, Jesuit education leaders from around the world gathered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the first International Congress of Jesuit Education Delegates, examining the goals to be achieved as a global network of Jesuit secondary schools. Meg Florentine, provincial assistant for secondary and pre-secondary education, was the delegate for the USA Northeast Province.

Several female leaders in Jesuit education from schools throughout the province traveled to Rome to take part in Voices of Faith, a Jesuit-sponsored symposium that connected Vatican leaders with the global Catholic community to amplify and affirm the role of women in education and programs of social transformation.
